Why we created MMH Connect

MMH Connect is a platform serving as an entry point for Boehringer Ingelheim employees, advanced social entrepreneurs and social intrapreneurs to connect for networking and co-creating sustainable development solutions in the ecosystem of Making More Health (MMH), the partnership between Ashoka and Boehringer Ingelheim.

The objective is to foster employee engagement and strengthen social entrepreneurship inside Boehringer Ingelheim, while at the same time providing corporate volunteering support to social entrepreneurs and local partners around the globe to increase the impact of their innovative initiatives. Both, the Boehringer Ingelheim employees as well as the owners of social businesses and projects will benefit from synergies and mutual growth.

What makes this platform unique

MMH Connect is thus a vital tool for connection and acceleration, with the ultimate goal of sustainably mobilizing a worldwide community of changemakers.

From a vision to reality

Making More Health was born in 2010 out of a shared vision to combine Boehringer Ingelheim's belief of "Value Through Innovation" with Ashoka's 40 years of experience in social entrepreneurship. The initiative aims to bring together social entrepreneurs from around the world with colleagues at Boehringer Ingelheim to create healthier environments for people, animals, and their communities. Ultimately, it's about creating shared value to promote the common good through positive social change.
